About Picture Earth
Picture Earth LLC is an eco-experiential and media company co-founded by Chantal Buard and Sivan Schlecter in 2006 to help launch Earth From Above, Yann Arthus-Bertrand's global call-to-action for sustainability with the American public.
Picture Earth educational products include Earth From Above live events, such as the critically acclaimed, public art exhibition, website and online community, video content, and poster kit program.
Our Mission
Picture Earth's mission is to connect people across borders and cultures to appreciate, motivate and navigate us toward a sustainable future.

Non-Profit Status
Earth From Above USA is an eco-educational project of Matter of Trust, a 501(c)(3) public charity and fiscal agent to Picture Earth LLC. As the American producer of the Earth From Above large-scale exhibitions nationwide, Picture Earth programs rely exclusively on corporate sponsorship, grants and donations.

Management Overview:
Chantal Buard, Executive Producer
Creative Director, Co-founder, Picture Earth LLC
Chantal Buard has over 14 years experience in media production, business development and branding. As co-founder of Picture Earth, Ms Buard's vision is to inspire people to live in the world as global citizens, where communication, abundance and love bring greater connectedness and collaboration with each other, the Earth and future generations.
As a media field producer, Ms. Buard was part of the groundbreaking NBC's online coverage of the Sydney and Salt Lake City Olympics games at NBC/Quokka Sports. Her work has taken her around the world for companies such as France Television, Capa Television Agency and Adaptive-Edge to witness some of the most inspiring people and stories that are creating solutions for a sustainable planet.
Ms. Buard's work in education included the Oakland Unified School District, Peralta College where she developed curriculum-support programs and media that focused on engaging and empowering inner-city youth. Her experience with non-profits and start-ups making a difference includes developing image campaigns and fundraising tools for a range of educational, environmental and innovative social organizations.
Originally from Paris, France, Ms. Buard is based in San Francisco and holds an MBA in Media and Arts Management from IAE - Aix en Provence and York University, Toronto. Ms. Buard also received a Multimedia Studies art certificate with honors from San Francisco State University.
Sivan Schlecter, Executive Producer
Managing Director, Co-founder, Picture Earth LLC
Sivan Schlecter has over 17 years experience in strategic planning, partnership marketing, and event management in media, music and healthcare. As a cause-marketer, entrepreneur, and producer, Ms. Schlecter co-founded Picture Earth to bring people together to recognize our inherent ability to care and take responsibility for each other, our planet and future generations.
Ms. Schlecter has helped launch four pro-social media brands including MTV Networks’ Logo, Showtime’s The L Word, Out magazine’s Y2K redesign, and Time Life Medical. Her consumer plan for The L Word television series launch earned a Multichannel News Mark Award for multicultural audience development.
Producing on-campus concerts as an undergraduate, Ms. Schlecter's work evolved into nearly two decades of directing cause-related spending, promotional events, talent relations, and brand representation for clients and employers. At Time Life Medical, Ms. Schlecter coordinated a 20-city media and special events tour for the former U.S. Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop, M.D. While in print and cable media, she developed an expertise in LGBT marketing which included a benchmark grassroots partnership initiative with the Human Rights Campaign.
Ms. Schlecter started her career at major record labels, including Elektra Entertainment, where she worked on a range of artist releases including Bjork, The Cure and Moby, and co-founded Queenie Records, an independent that provided greater opportunity for women.
A native based in NYC, Ms. Schlecter received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Rutgers University, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.
